Nikhil Desai is Managing Director of JMiles & Co. He is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, specialising in international arbitration and fraud and asset recovery. Nikhil is Chair of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) ADR Commission in Kenya, sits on the ICC-Kenya Arbitrator Nominations Committee and is a member of the ICC ADR Commission. He has represented both private clients and Government entities in numerous local and international arbitrations under the auspices of ICSID; ICC; LCIA; FOSFA; UNCITRAL Rules; and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. Nikhil has also sat as Arbitrator and Tribunal Secretary in local and international arbitration. Nikhil is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. Nikhil is part of the team that was awarded the “African Arbitration Awards: Leading Arbitration Service Provider Award” for two consecutive years.
Nikhil is also Managing Partner of Desai & Co. Advocates, a law firm specialising in complex Kenyan litigation, particularly appeal applications and arbitration.
